In Oben Holding Group we produce polypropylene, polyester and nylon films used for flexible packaging; coated films for the graphic industry and thermoformed polypropylene products. We opened our first manufacturing plant more than 32 years ago in Quito, Ecuador. Today, we have 14 manufacturing plants, 1 distribution center and 8 sales offices within 17 countries across the Americas and Europe.

1991
We started our first BOPP line in Ecuador followed by our first Thermoforming plant with an annual capacity of 3,000 MT and 1,200 MT, respectively.
1996
Our BOPP´s production capacity was increased to 12,000 MT and our Thermoforming capacity to 5,400 MT per year. By then, our products were already being sold in 10 countries.
2000
We expanded to Peru and Colombia by opening a distribution center in each country.
2003
A new BOPP plant started production in Peru, with an annual capacity of 20,000 MT.
2005
Venezuela, Brazil and Argentina became home of 3 new distribution centers.
2008
Our third BOPP manufacturing plant was built in Argentina. In the meanwhile, in Peru a second BOPP line was installed increasing the annual capacity to 50,000 MT. Additionally, our first CPP line with a capacity of 15,000 MT per year and an extrusion coating line with a capacity of 15,000 MT were installed.
2009
A second Thermoforming plant was built in Colombia, with an annual capacity of 3,000 MT. In Chile, a distribution center started operations.
2010
We started new distribution centers in El Salvador and Mexico.
2011
We expanded our operations to North America, with new sales offices. At the same time, in Peru, we acquired 2 new BOPP lines with the latest technology and a capacity of 70,000 MT per year.
2011
We purchased a second CPP line of 6.2mt with an annual capacity of 20,000 MT.
2013
We acquired the BOPP and BOPA producer, Sigdopack, with manufacturing plants in Argentina and Chile. We also started a BOPET plant in Peru, with a capacity of 35,000 MT per year.
2014
We installed the biggest metallizing machine in the world (4.5mt), increasing our Metallization capacity by 15,000 MT per year.
2016
We started our plant in El Salvador with the first two BOPP lines in Central America and the Caribbean with an annual capacity of 70,000 MT.
2017
Startup of the second PET line in Peru, adding up a total of 70,000 MT/year. New PET Strap line starts with 2,100 MT/year capacity.
2019
Our second BOPA (Nylon) 6.6 meter-wide line with a production capacity of 13,000 MT/year was installed in Peru. This new addition increased our BOPA total capacity to 20,000 MT/year.
2021
Acquisition of Poligal group with plants in Poland and Portugal.
2022
New BOPET line installed in Colombia.

Acquisition of film production facility and KristaFilms brands portfolio from Grupo Agusa in Mexico.
